Welcome to Ashbourne Music Publishing
In Ashbourne Music Publishing's sacred or secular cataloges (est. 1966), you will find music and texts that are innovative, educational and interesting for performer, audience and congregation: contemporary Jewish liturgical music for the synagogue service, cantorial study texts, musicals for children, oratorios, song cycles, orchestral works and more.
Note particularly the recent addition (2011) to our cantorial instruction book series, Immunim Benusah Hatefillah, by Charles Davidson, Vol. III, "Sefer Hadrakhah:" An Annotated Guide and Commentary on the Application of Nusah Hatefillah Beminhag Ashkenaz for the Complete Liturgical Year with Shabbat settings by Max Wohlberg. The entire series is a valuable resource for Hazzanim, cantorial soloists and students and are authentic guides for minyan and lay prayer leaders.

The Journey of Butterfly
This documentary weaves together the music, art, poetry and history of the children imprisoned by the Nazis in the ghetto at Terezin in Czechoslovakia from 1941 to 1945. The poetry written by the children during that time has been set to music by Charles Davidson in a song cycle for treble voices, "I Never Saw Another Butterfly."
The eight selections from the Megillot are set in an Israeli style. SSA and piano accompaniment. Adaptable for solo or SA chorus. Settings are single line or 2-part treble.
